May 29, 2007:

The legislature reached its second major deadline on Friday, May 25th - passage of bills from the second house. Any bill not passed out of both houses cannot receive any further consideration, with the exception of those bills that have a fiscal note and declared exempt.

In the final week of the legislature, we will concentrate our efforts on closing budgets, to include education, and crafting a transportation funding plan.

Below is just a sample of some of the measures voted on by the Senate. I voted in favor of the measures listed, unless otherwise noted. In addition, I have provided the status on bills of interest from the previous update.

It continues to be my honor to represent you in Carson City and will continue to work on your behalf.

If you have any questions regarding these bills or other measures, please email me.
